OUR BELIEFS

Statement of Faith

The 66 books of the Old and New Testaments are the inspired and only infallible and authoritative Word of God.

There is only one true God who is the eternal King, Creator and Redeemer of all that is. He is perfectly holy, just, loving and truthful.
The eternal Godhead is One God: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit - each fully possessing all the attributes of deity.

Jesus Christ is God’s only Son. Fully God; fully man.
He was conceived of the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin Mary. He lived a sinless life, was anointed with the Holy Spirit and power, performing miracles and signs. He was crucified for our sins, died, was buried, resurrected, and ascended into heaven, and is now seated at the right hand of God the Father.

Jesus Christ is the Way, the Truth, and the Life - no one comes to the Father except through Him.
We are not saved by our own works of righteousness, but by God’s grace through our faith in Jesus. His grace is open to all who call upon the name of the Lord Jesus.

The Holy Spirit is God. He indwells every believer, and is God’s very presence and power abiding in those who believe.
He is the Comforter, Advocate, Helper, Spirit of Truth, and Teacher.
It is by His ministry that the believer is enabled to live for Christ and to enjoy the blessings of heaven.

The Baptism in the Holy Spirit is an experience of being immersed and filled with God’s Spirit, enabling the believer to be a witness of the resurrection of Jesus, and enabling the gifts and ministries of the Spirit with power. The common evidence of this baptism is speaking in tongues.
The Gifts of the Spirit are given to each believer to edify the church and as miracles to attract unbelievers. Prophecy, healings, and tongues are common manifestations of the Holy Spirit among us. This should all be done decently and in order.

We believe that the Church consists of all who put their faith in Jesus Christ. He gave His Church the ordinances of baptism and communion. The Church exists to carry on the ministry of Jesus Christ and further advance His kingdom by undoing the works of the enemy, preaching and living the good news of God’s love, and discipling the nations – baptizing and teaching them to love and obey God.

Jesus Christ promised His church that He would return in power and glory, and that every eye would see Him.
At His return He will gather His church to Himself, He will judge the living and the dead, and He will set up His Kingdom on earth forever.

GET INVOLVED

Gen NEXT is the Children’s Ministry of RSC.
We have age-specific classrooms for children 0-11 year’s old on both Sunday mornings and Wednesday nights. In addition to this, we have all sorts of activities and programs throughout the year to keep kids engaged and growing in their relationship with Jesus.

3D is the Jr. High ministry of RSC for ages 12-15.
3D meets every Wednesday night from 7:00-8:30pm, as well as various events throughout the year.

Gen Now is what we call our Youth ministry at RSC (ages 16-20).
Gen NOW meets every Wednesday Night from 7:00-8:30, and the first Friday of every month for what we call Ignite.

Solid Foundations is a Homeschooling Co-op and Playgroup Ministry for ages birth to 12th Grade. We are not a drop-off group. We meet on Mondays from September to June at Rock Solid Church in Hudson, NY. Our classes meet from 10am-12pm, every other week. On the opposite week we attend scheduled field trips.

Exalt 149 is a ministry dedicated to praising the Lord through worship and dancing. We strive to teach our students to live out Psalm 149 which says to “praise His name with dancing.” We have classes for a range of ages, starting at 5 years old.

Our Men’s and Women’s ministries hold different events and activities throughout the year. Please check our Events Page for specifics.

Life Groups are the life blood of the church.
Life Groups are smaller, more intimate & informal gatherings that involve food, fellowship, prayer, and time in the Word. Life Groups meet at different locations, times, and days throughout Columbia & Greene Counties. Contact the Office to find out the group nearest you.
